I intend to restore our state government so that Washington and the 21st District is the best place to live, work and raise a family.

I intend to do this by bringing fiscal responsibility back to our state’s budget, creating a business climate that fosters the creation of new jobs, and by providing our children the best education possible.

That means we will spend only what we afford, and we will do this without raising new taxes. That will require the implementation of performance audits to make government lean and efficient, pay as you go discipline to fund state spending programs, and a “priorities of government” approach as a compass for expenditures. This combination of actions will allow us to budget revenues and spending in compliance with our constitutional mandate.
